Essa deserves leadership that listens, plans responsibly, and works for every resident — not around them. It's time for a change.
Francesco Lo Greco is a community leader, advocate, and small business operator running for Mayor of Essa Township because he believes residents deserve leadership that is present, accountable, transparent, and focused on real results.
As Essa continues to grow, many residents — especially young families and younger generations — are feeling the pressure of rising costs, infrastructure challenges, limited services, and uncertainty about the future of the community. Francesco believes municipal leadership must start focusing not only on today's problems, but on building a township where the next generation can realistically live, work, raise families, and succeed.
As the founder of Therapeutic Community Care, Francesco has spent years on the front lines supporting individuals and families facing mental health challenges, addiction, housing instability, and complex social issues. His work has given him firsthand experience navigating crisis situations, understanding government systems, and advocating for people who often feel overlooked or unheard.
During a period when his work was publicly scrutinized, Francesco remained focused on supporting vulnerable individuals — demonstrating the resilience, accountability, and ability to lead under pressure that Essa Township needs right now.
Essa is a growing community with incredible potential — hardworking families, strong rural roots, valuable farmland, beautiful natural areas, and communities that deserve thoughtful planning, better communication, and stronger local services.
For too long, many residents have felt that important decisions are being made without enough public awareness, consultation, or transparency. Concerns have been raised about the condition of our roads, the loss of farmland to residential development, rising taxes, and the lack of convenient services within our Township.
Our main commercial area is Angus, and many residents have shared their frustration that Essa has not attracted the same range of businesses and services found in surrounding South Simcoe communities. Families should not always have to drive to Barrie for basic shopping, services, and employment.
A stronger local business base would provide residents with better access to everyday needs, create more local jobs, and give our youth more summer and part-time employment opportunities right here at home.
Bold, concrete priorities grounded in the real challenges facing residents, families, and businesses.
Growth is coming — but growth must be managed responsibly. Residents deserve to know how major planning decisions will affect their neighbourhoods, farmland, forests, trails, and quality of life.
As a young family, we've been frustrated watching Essa's leadership ignore the issues that actually matter to us — housing, roads, community programming. Francesco actually listens and has real plans. That's refreshing and rare.
Running a small business in Essa has been tough. We need leadership that understands what local business owners face — red tape, lack of services, disconnected council. Francesco gets it because he's lived it himself.
I never felt like local politics was for people my age. Francesco changed that. He talks about real things — internet access, youth programs, jobs — and he actually shows up. I'm volunteering for the first time ever.
Every door knocked, donation made, and volunteer hour invested moves Essa one step closer to the leadership it deserves.
Whether you want to volunteer, donate, share your story, or just stay informed — there's a place for you in this movement.
